First steps - Nursery
A vibrant and exciting place for your child to learn and grow
Park School Nursery is one of the most sought after nurseries in the Bournemouth area. Our aim is to give our children the best possible start, so they are happy, confident, active, sociable and ready for school. At Park School Nursery, children thrive in a stimulating, clean, safe and well-resourced environment, where they are praised and respected. In our most recent ISI Inspection, our nursery was described as excellent in all areas of its provision.
Park School Nursery offers full daycare and early years' education for children aged 3 months to 4 years. We follow guidance from the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) in order to provide a broad and balanced programme. Inspiring learning through play, the nursery day consists of a wide variety of formal and informal activities, including constructive play, literacy, numeracy, speech and language, music and dance. We are an active nursery, providing a huge range of stimulating activities throughout a variety of spaces indoors. We also place great emphasis on outdoor learning and all age groups have daily access to our beautiful garden.

Support for babies:
We accept babies from the age of 3 months, and they are cared for by dedicated members of the nursery team in a self-contained unit with a separate sleep area. We follow each baby's individual care plan and ensure we support their learning and development throughout the day. We use Blossom Education to communicate information about your baby's day including; meals, bottles, sleep and nappy changes. Our babies have access to a covered garden area to enjoy the outdoors.
Environment:
The nursery takes advantage of the schools exceptional facilities and grounds; we play games on the Astroturf or in the playground, and children look forward to weekly sessions in the ICT suite and the school library. They enjoy opportunities to interact with the older children, such as at lunchtimes in the school dining room. There are plenty of opportunities for children to explore outside, children love using their imaginations to play in the mud kitchen, sandpit or on board ship!
